Second year at University (2012).  I had so much work to do in my last year in Uni  (dissertation, an illustrated book, and a series of surface pattern design)  to get my degree that I didn't have time to create more illustrations to expand my portfolio. But now, that I've got my degree in Visual Communication I have started creating new illustrations for birthdays, books (front covers) and a series of patterns which have been inspired by narrative stories.

Back to my books.  I have created a children's character. This is the story.

I wanted to create a character,   something different,  I looked for inspiration in animals from England (features of different animals to make one) and this is the result.

Trying to visualise the character in different products for children parties.

Im not so sure about the final outcome. I think I have to think narrative to create better images to show how the character would look.
